If you’re after something slightly different but not too far out of your comfort zone, this tea is for you. Some scented teas smell promising but under-deliver on taste – however this is not one of them.
I found this tea pleasant to drink – refreshing with a sweet, caramelised vanilla flavour lingering through to the end without too much sweetness. Perfect as an after-dinner refresher or a great accompaniment to that naughty third course we like to call dessert.
I must admit I made a pot for 3 and drank the whole lot to myself.

The Vanilla Sencha is quite aromatic with its sweet Vanilla scent. And there’s no bitterness at all – very delicious!

I recently tried the Vanilla Sencha tea. It is a green tea with a beautiful hint of vanilla.
I really like to drink it after dinner instead of grabbing something like a bar of chocolate or a bowl of ice cream.
Delicious!!

Just received my 1st tea to test, Vanilla Sencha. Couldn’t wait to brew myself a refreshing cup (had one of those days at work and feeling rather stressed). I opened the packet and breathed in the beautiful aroma of vanilla and what smelt like freshly clipped grass. I boiled my fancy new fangled kettle to 80 degrees (as that what it tells me is the optimum water temperature for green tea), followed the instructions and let brew for 3 to 5 minutes, popped in the 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar (as that is all the diet allows for these days)…. have only one comment…bliss…..beautiful aromas of vanilla. What a refreshing brew. The tasting notes hint at a slight bitterness, but i can taste none of that, just a lovely fresh “summer day in the back yard” feeling. All of that and it’s good for me!. Definitely one to try after a stressful day..i think I might have a second.

I have just tried the vanilla sencha tea and completely agree that this is an “anytime” tea. It is soft with a delicate sweetness which means that it can be partnered to a variety of dishes and will complement just about any meal. I will drink this tea after a meal to satisfy any sweet cravings so can see it as an aid to weight loss. I am not a fan of green tea but this one has converted me.

Just tried the vanilla sencha tea and am completely converted! The aroma alone is lovely but after sampling the tea itself it’s quite evident to me that this is my new ‘favorite thing’. There’s is no bitterness to this tea just a smooth taste not overpowered by a vanilla taste. Thanks for the chance to be a ‘tea tester’. Am a happy camper!

The vanilla Sencha is even better than I expected! I do love a good green and this one exceeded my expectations, the creamy vanilla mixed with the ever so slightly bitter green tea is an absolute indulgence to all senses! Smells and tastes delightful and I couldn’t stop after just one cup!!

We can not stop at one cup either Lynnette.

The delicious aromas of caramel and vanilla hit you as soon as you pour boiling water in a pot of vanilla sencha tea – fabulous any time of day!

I love the Vanilla Sencha Tea. It is smooth and flavorsome, sweet but not overpoweringly so. As a Diabetic this tea is the perfect treat to have at the end of a meal so I feel like I am having a dessert when in fact I am just having a cuppa.
It has a caramel, vanilla infusion that makes one want multiple cups instead of stopping at just one. I highly recommend this tea to anyone who enjoys Vanilla flavors.

I was delighted to receive the sample of Iron Buddha to review as I am a big fan of “traditional” Chinese teas. Iron Buddha is not your average Chinese tea you get at the local Chinese restaurant. This is a fresh, stimulating “morning” tea with a lovely “floral” aroma as found in quality oolong teas grown at high altitude. This is the type of tea you normally have to go to Asia to buy. If you are sensitive to caffeine (as I am) then avoid drinking at night. This tea is surprisingly forgiving during the brewing process. I say “surprisingly forgiving” because many high-end teas can become bitter if not brewed correctly. I made several brews of Iron Buddha at different temperatures and steeping times and almost all came out well. Personally, I prefer hotter temperatures (at or above 90 degrees celsius) for up to 5 minutes to bring out the fuller flavour. At lower temperatures you will miss out on the “body”. I found the first 1-2 brews are the best. This is an excellent tea and I am very happy that teas like this are becoming more available in Australia.
