INTERESTING FACTS REGARDING TEA:
White tea is the tea that is made from new buds and very young, very gently dried tea leaves. Because of the careful and light processing, the leaves retain all their contents of antioxidants.
A high quality jasmine contains the same blend of antioxidants and caffeine as high quality green tea. It is especially good for dieters because of its naturally sweet taste. Even people who would normally add sugar or honey to their tea often find that they enjoy jasmine tea without it.
Nerves on edge? Try drinking some jasmine tea! Jasmine is believed have a tranquilizing effect. Now, scientific research has confirmed that the smell of jasmine does indeed act as a mild sedative. A 2005 study conducted by Kyoto University found that the smell of jasmine reduced study participants heart rates and produced “calm and vigorous mood states.”

I don’t think there’s much difference bteween the various blends of green tea. But young tea plants are best. I believe white tea is even better than green. However, it can only speed up your metabolism by a very little amount. If you put sugar or artificial sweetener in your tea, you’re ruining your diet more than you’re helping it.

I find this to be a delicate tea the flavours of which unfurl on my taste buds like the beautiful blossom which gives it its taste. It balances its sweetness with a slightly bitter finish which makes it an ideal companion to either sweet or savoury food or just on its own.

A long-time green tea lover, I’ve recently moved on to White Tea, after reading an article on the health benefits / high antioxidant levels this tea offers.
I was therefore excited to try this tea & was certainly not disappointed. Arriving as perfectly round green & pink balls, each bud is enough for one giant pot of tea & can be refilled multiple times. My first trial of this tea was a particularly stressful Monday afternoon at work & I had many a work colleague to ohh & ahh as the bud started to open & blossom in our pot of hot water (not to mention help me polish it off!)
A beautiful, lightly fragrenced tea which has a very subtle sweetness, it’s great for unwinding & very calming. The perfect companion for a lazy, rainy day on the couch, or as a nerve calmer before an exam or deadline, the beauty of the bud blooming also makes it the perfect ‘social tea’ – perhaps after a lovely dinner with friends or family.
We will definitely be purchasing this one again in future.

This tea was just beautiful! My friends and I had a lovely afternoon tea together and the delicate flavour of this tea, and the unfurling of the tea flower, had all my friends talking about it. Its a very gentle flavour with the tiniest hint of Jasmine. I found if you wanted to sweeten this tea, it would be best to use honey as it brought out the flavour better than sugar. This was really nice with Vanilla cheesecake and mini quiches.

This is not only a beautiful tea to drink but a beautiful tea to brew, Watching the flower open is mesmerising and my work colleagues always commented on it. I also found that it had a very calming effect on me and, as a white tea with just a hint of Jasmine in it, had the added benefit of antioxidants. I use to drink the Jasmine Pearl, but now I think this is my favourite. Thanks for the taste tester and I would highly recommend this everyone, anytime of the day.
